A smooth, rectangular tablet of apple-turquoise green chrysoprase, set in a clean 925 silver bezel and hung from chunky silver chain. Its milky, translucent colour shifts from fresh mint to sea green in the light.
Chrysoprase is a rare green chalcedony. Ancient Greeks and Romans carved it into jewellery, and legend says Alexander the Great wore it into battle for protection! Traditionally it is a stone of the heart, believed to calm anxious feelings, and bring optimism and self-acceptance.
It’s weighty and tactile, it feels great to wear and is a one off piece. Made In my Cardiff studio.
